The gripping new mystery from the bestselling author of Death at the White Hart
Parkwood Holiday Village is a serene haven: idyllic woodland, a sparkling lake, customer service on tap around the clock. It’s the kind of place families return to year after year.
But for Detective Nicola Bridge, it’s a crime scene. Early one morning, a body is found floating in the park’s pool.
Already stretched by troubles at home, Nicola faces a resort full of suspects, but seemingly no witnesses. Guests and staff alike are hiding secrets: a husband with an alibi that doesn’t track, a high ropes instructor with unexplained fresh scars, a new manager with a secret past.
With hundreds of restless guests and staff on site, Nicola knows the clock is ticking to find
the killer before they disappear for good.
Or before they strike again. . .
Praise
“A killing at a Dorset resort animates Broadchurch creator Chibnall’s excellent sequel to Death at the White Hart. . . With distinctive supporting characters, brilliant pacing, and a deliciously complex plot that never loses its footing, this proves that Chibnall’s just as good on the page as he is on-screen. It’s a home run.”
