Jo Nichols' The Marigold Cottages Murder Collective strikes again! Murder on Charity Lane is a delightfully chaotic return to sunny Santa Barbara.

While a few middle chapters felt slightly overstuffed with extra details that could have been streamlined, the witty dialogue and the heartwarming found-family dynamic kept me fully invested. The puzzle was clever, the pacing was breezy, and it solidifies this series as an automatic read for cozy mystery lovers.
